Memorial Biography

Charles William Iverson passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 28, 2013.

Charlie was born in San Francisco on September 29, 1931 and attended Lincoln High School where he excelled in Baseball and Football. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served mostly in Japan. Upon completing his 4 year stint he attended San Francisco State University where he met his future wife, Judith Carr.

Charlie became a S.F. Juvenile Probation Officer and retired after 33 stellar years. He was a tremendous believer in Foster kids and Foster Care.

Self-proclaimed "#1 Giants fan", he was regular fixture at  games for 25 plus years. Charlie will be remembered as a class act, who seemed to know and be known by everyone in the room.

He is survived by his loving family, Lisa  and Jeff Moir, Carla Iverson, Judith Iverson and his granddaughters, Olivia and Charlotte Moir.

Orphaned at an early age, he had a rich lifetime of a loving family and of terrific friends who will miss him greatly.
